Food Waste is a major problem experienced worldwide. It is in our best interests to reduce the amount of food waste we produce, both locally and globally.
Oxford colleges currently produce much more food than they consume, and as such, a lot of food goes to waste. The Food Waste Action Network has been set up by Oxford Sustainability and by Oxford Waste Society in an effort to encourage the university to tackle the issue of food waste.
We discuss methods and policies on the best way to tackle University food waste, and encourage transparency from all the colleges about what exactly they are doing with their excess food.
